Lezley Saar Teacher Night: Surreal Portraits
Wednesday, November 2, 2022 5:00pm - 7:00pm $5 for Educators

Join us for a tour and workshop at Craft Contemporary exploring the special exhibition Lezley Saar: Diorama Drama alongside works by Saar in LACMA’s collection. Inspired by Saar’s figurative works, which often focus on themes of race, gender, and identity, participants will create surreal collage portraits that incorporate realistic and fantastical details.
This is a collaborative event for educators between LACMA and Craft Contemporary. The event takes place in person at Craft Contemporary at 5814 Wilshire Boulevard. For accommodation requests, please contact educate@lacma.org.
There is 2 hour street parking near Craft Contemporary on Stanley and Curson Avenues, please make sure to read all signs for parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle. Validated parking at Pritzker Parking Garage at LACMA is also available for this event only. Parking for LACMA is located at the Pritzker Parking Garage on 6th St., just east of Fairfax Ave, which is just shy of a half-mile walk to Craft Contemporary.
Masks are required indoors for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you to all program participants for your understanding and cooperation. Learn more about Craft Contemporary’s COVID-19 protocol at our Visit page.
